Caravan 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Rating: Robert Parker: 90 Points A terrific bargain in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, this blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and the rest equal parts Petit Verdot and Malbec offers a subtle toasty oak note intermixed with espresso roast, chocolate, black currants, and black cherries. It possesses soft, velvety tannins, medium to full body, and beautiful purity, texture, and length. Approachable now, it should evolve easily for 15 or more years. This is a sleeper of the vintage Appellation: Napa Valley

| Great Value, 2nd Jul 2010 | Reviewer: Lisa Buzby | This is a great wine for the money. It is a product of the Darioush family, which I find impressive in and of itself because of their reputation for over-the-top cabs. This bottle was no exception - keep in mind it is only $35 a bottle.
I would recommend decanting for a good hour before enjoying this wine. Although it paired very nicely with a roast, I enjoyed it even more by itself!
Robert Parker gave it 90 points. Amazing Grapes' price is the cheapest I've found - KL has it for $5 more a bottle. |
