Porter Bass 2006 Chardonnay

From the biodynamic vineyards of Porter Bass, on the western edge of the Russian River Valley. The 2006 Chardonnay is like springtime in a bottle - notes of fresh-tilled soil and morning fog combine with faint hints of ocean air. Fruit notes tend toward the tart, with aromas of lemon, apricot and kumquat, and are balanced out by the sweetness of honeysuckle and lemon blossom. Still a bit reserved now, this wine will open up nicely with a little bottle age.
