Storrs 2007 Chardonnay The 2007 Chardonnay from Storrs weaves together fruit from a number of vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains, each with a different micro-climate like the sun-drenched Granite Creek district or the maritime Soquel hills. The juice undergoes complete malolactic fermentation and is aged sur lie for eight months in French oak barrels before it's finally blended. The nose is reminiscent of a fresh-baked apple and pear cobbler in the autumn. In the mouth, there is a stony accent too the creamy fruit notes that taste great today and will continue to gain complexity over the next few years. Tell a Friend
