Q - How will my wine be shipped?
A - All wine orders will be processed and billed the day they are placed in order to remove the items from our inventory. Because issues such as out-of-stock or shipping law's need to be addressed at the last minute, we process all orders at the store register. Credit cards are not processed on the web. This also ensures that we get one one last chance to prevent fraudulent use of your card. We use FedEx as our primary shipper. If you desire a different shipper, please note this in the comment section. The most common method we use is ground service. If you need the wine to arrive sooner, choose the 2 day air or overnight option. If you live in Alaska or Hawaii, you only have the 2 day air or overnight option.

Q - How much does shipping cost?
A - Our site automatically calculates shipping for you on the check out screens. We also provide a shipping calculator and a PDF shipping table that you can preview prior to your order.

Q - When will my wine arrive?
A - All wine orders are usually shipped out within 24 hours of receiving your order. We estimate shipping times from California to the East coast at 5-7 business days, to the Midwest at 3-5 business days and along the West Coast to 1-3 business days. We advise that you ship to a business address if no one is at your home address to sign for the delivery. Be sure to include the business/company name in the ship-to information to ensure that the package(s) are routed properly. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes under any circumstances.

Q - Will you hold my wine until the weather get's better?
A - If you are aware of an extreme hot or cold spell in your area, please notify us if you wish to delay shipment until the weather is more favorable. If your area is experiencing extreme weather conditions, Amazing Grapes Wine Store can briefly hold your order for future shipment up - to 30 days maximum. We are a high volume wine retail store; not a wine storage facility - our warehouse space is very limited. Orders that exceed the 30 day holding period are subject to a storage fee assessed solely at our discretion, and our liability in such cases is limited to the original transaction price.

Q - What kind of shipping material do you use?
A - The shipping materials we use do not guarantee resistance to hot and cold temperatures, therefore Amazing Grapes Wine Store assumes no liability for wine damaged due to poor weather during transport. This can include leakage or corks pushing out of the neck, as well as "cooked or frozen" wine. Be aware of shipping conditions before placing an order. If you choose a shipping option, WE WILL SHIP regardless of conditions in your area, so please be careful.

Q - Do you ship to all 50 states?
A - To all but 18 states. Because of onerous, outdated and blatantly unfair laws governing the transportation of wine, we cannot ship to the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee and Utah.

Q - Can I pick my wine up at the store if I order it online?
A - Yes you can. If you are picking your web order up at the store, you will need at least one form of valid identification and the order confirmation number. If you are without those items, you may show the credit card that the order was billed to. You may have someone else pickup the order for you, but they will also need proper identification, proof that they are 21 years or older and the order number.

Q - If nobody is around to sign for my shipment or the recipient is found to be under 21, what happens?
A - We are shipping alcohol - therefore an adult of at least 21 years must sign for the delivery. If no one is available when delivery is attempted, there will be two more attempts made on consecutive business days. At this point you can contact the shipper (FedEx) to make alternative shipping arrangements after the first attempt is made. Should delivery fail on all three attempts, the package will be returned to us and no refund will be allowed. If you still want the wine, we will have to charge for shipping again in order for the package(s) to be re-sent.

Q - My wine must arrive by a certain date. Can you arrange that?
A - Yes, if given enough notice. Please order accordingly and let us know the date you need it by in the comment section. If we cannot make that date, we'll let you know immediately.

Q - If I see a wine on the website, does that mean it's really in stock?
A - If it's on our web site, it's in stock. The exact number available to purchase is displayed. We try very hard to maintain a "real time" inventory, but there may be times that an item is sold off the floor just prior to your order on the internet. In most cases, we can order more of certain wines so please call the store - In these cases, there may be a delay while we check with our distributors in order to locate additional inventory. We will do our best to fill your order but cannot be held responsible if an item is unobtainable at the time of order. If an item is unavailable, we will call you and apologize. It will be omitted from the final invoice and any applicable shipping charges will be adjusted.
