Athair 2008 Chardonnay Russian River Valley

Rating:

Barrel fermented using 25% new French Oak/75% neutral French Oak barrels. Only 50% of the Chardonnay went through malo-lactic fermentation to add thickness and richness. The end result was a wine with a mix of honeysuckle, melon and pear flavors that are complex and juicy to the palate with hints of light, toasty oak and a great fruit forward finish! This would be a perfect pairing with either halibut or petrale sole, or served chilled on a warm evening!
